The Poetic Advisor

All I need is you
Even when the skies are blue
You are here to wipe away my tears
And calm all my fears
A shelter in every storm
A blanket of love that keeps me warm
A friend that stays in sight
A comforter in the middle of the night
The healer of my pain
The one who provides all my gain
My shield from every side
The one in whom I confide
The one and only whom I should tattle
The one who fights all my battles
The one who provides my all
The one who picks me up when I fall
Even when my life seems so blue
I am reminded all I need is you.

You are important to your Father above
You are always surrounded by his love
Your happiness doesn’t depend on a woman or a man
To always be around to hold your hand
You are a child of the most high God
You don’t understand the holy ground you trod
A father like no other in this life you have
Surrounded by his protection on every path
You live below the privilege he gave to you
You have no idea what he will do
You come from a lineage of royalty
If you would only make yourself believe
You are strong beautiful and smart
Jesus is able to change your heart
You are worth so much more to life
Than any man or woman can provide
You are a child of the King you‘ll see
And realize you are strong and free
Capable of having love and peace
That can only be provided by his grace
You deserve his happiness
And you will see how you’re blessed

The devil is a lie
This time I won’t cry
I’ll stomp the floor
Tell him to hit the door
Tell him to shut up
Because I’m going to stay
Prayed up

 

Darkness falls and I begin to weep
Wanting to drift
Off to sleep
Pain and agony overcome
The turmoil within has begun
Despair and gloom
Enter the room
Trying every trick of suppression
From the overwhelming
Deep dark depression
And then something wells up inside my soul
Reminding me
God is in control
He enters the room
As I begin to pray
I feel his warmth
As beside me he lay
The comforter comes in the darkness of night
Filling the room with his holy light

A humble life
Full of love without the words
He taught us how to be kind
Even when we were left behind
He showed us how to control our anger
Even when we were faced with danger
A beautiful face without many wrinkles
A heart of gold that never waivered
A common man who barked at dogs
Driving a van to and fro
Many days spent on the road
A beautiful spirit inside and out
Never heard him cuss or shout
Many of his words were never spoken
And sometimes life left him broken
A spirit so sweet with and even temper
Strong and kind
With a beautiful mind
He helped many without a word
Good advice is all I heard
So precious and wise
With pretty blue eyes
Hair dyed black as coal
Never wanting to grow old
Welding with steel
Burning his hands
Building structures that would always stand
Such a wonderful earthly father
No other man should even bother
To strive to be as good as him
Because he was a precious gem
He has been called the best daddy ever
And he will live in our hearts forever
He loved us all until the day he died
So thankful we could be by his side
Spending time night and day
By the bed where he lay
Waiting for his time to cross that shore
Where Jesus was waiting at the door

 

 

The devil running to and fro
Watching where
Next he will go
Spreading destruction in your life
Stirring up danger, stench and strife
Trying to take you from this life
Before you know it he will snatch you out
Even the very elect
You better watch out
The troubles come when you are weak
You need to stay at Jesus’ feet
Holding on with all your might
Praying and serving thru this fight
So tell the devil to depart
Because you have
Jesus in your heart

 

 

It is not the time to sleep and slumber
We need to be ready by the number
The end is near
For our Lord to appear
So tell your family and friends
We will soon see him
Get on your knees and pray
For all those today
That have not received
The gift that was conceived
By the holy spirit alone

Memorial Day is the day we honor our fallen soldiers
Many families spend this day crying on friends shoulders
Grieving for the ones who have died while serving our great country
So that we could be the home of the brave and the land of the free
Remembering the ultimate sacrifice of our sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers.
The ones who took that vow to protect and serve
Who laid their lives on the line for that which we don’t deserve
The ones who left their families to go to a foreign land
Why they died we may never understand
But we take this day to show our respect and honor
We fly that beautiful flag of red, white and blue
That stands for freedom for me and you
Words can’t express how thankful we are
Our heartfelt compassion to all the families with a gold star
Our hearts overflow with gratitude and pride
We can’t contain or even try to hide
The tears of so many mixed emotions
As they sing God Bless America, my home sweet home
And place that wreath on that cold hard stone.

I am thankful for you as my Mama,
Even though we have been thru so much drama.

You took care of me as a child,
Even when things were so wild.

Through my eyes as little girl,
You were my whole world.

As a child I thought you were it,
And as a teenager I thought you were, full of it.

Always beautiful and strong,
Even when things would go wrong.

The things you have had to endure,
Would break many, I am sure.

You told us about the Lord,
And encouraged us to follow after him.

You have handled your life with grace,
And always with a smile on your face.

Your life has been a wild ride,
But you have always shown your pride.

You show courage and strength,
Even when your heart aches.

I love you with all of my heart and soul,
I am thankful that I get to travel life’s road,
With such a special lady by my side.

You have been a best friend to me,
And I am praying for many more years to see,
Just what you mean to me.

Chaos and strife
Fill her life
She never sits down
To see the beauty around
She is in constant turmoil
Never a day without pain
She chooses not to see
What she would be
Without so much negativity
A path of destruction
Left behind
All because
She is blind
Does not see the err of her ways
Spending nights and many days
Spreading destruction
To so many
When her love could be so plenty
A heart of gold
Waxed stone cold
A face grown old
A life turned cold
Searching for love
That was never enough
Filled with righteous anger
And spreading the danger
Praying in the night
For people to get right
Staring in the mirror
But never will see
The amazing life
That could be
The flaws inside
She tries to hide
While tearing down the ones
By her side
So many years wasted with tears
And full of fears
Spending so much time
Pointing out your flaws and sin
Never realizing the problem was
The women within
