My Valentine

I love you more than I can say
I thank God for you everyday
You are the most awesome husband of all
When I am with you I have a ball
You treat me with love and tender care
You are always giving and quick to share
I want you to know how special you are
And never take for granted your precious heart
You are funny, sweet and true
God blessed me greatly when he gave me you

He is Risen

An Easter story that never grows old
Buried in a tomb in his grave clothes
He arose from the grave on that third day
So that all of our sins could be washed away
Today is not about a bunny or an egg
A basket of chocolate or an Easter dinner
It is all about saving the sinner
It is not about singing Peter cotton tail
It is all about saving us from hell
It is about our Savior who died for our sins
Only wanting us to allow him in
It is about our choice to ask him into our hearts
And make him the leader of our life
Not just to serve on Christmas and Easter
But choose him each day when we wake
And get his advice in all decisions we make
Without Jesus in our hearts
Our lives are empty just like that tomb
Without him being head of our life
We face adversity and strife
Without the whole armor of God
We need his shield and sword
To fight every battle of this world
Make today the day of change
And let him take your life and rearrange
If you searched yourself today
And Jesus looked into your heart
Will he say enter in or tell you to depart?

Representative

If you are saved,
You must behave.

Everywhere you go you are watched,
People making sure you will do,
What you say you have in you.

You are a representative of Christ,
He sent you here to be fishers of men.
Telling others to ask him to enter in.

Conduct yourself the way he says in his word.
Never allowing something to be heard.

That is not edifying to another life,
Or stirring up strife.

Always be on guard,
Never falling too hard.

Watching out for Satan every day,
Asking God for wisdom when you pray.

Always remember why you were sent,
And make sure everyone knows,
Who you represent.

Merry Christmas

We wanted to take to time to say,

How much we love you every day.

We are so grateful when we ask you to pray.

Each of you are a special gift,

Given to us from God above.

A family filled with God’s love.

We are blessed with many different types,

Some with compliments others with gripes.

Each one is special in their own way,

Some with black hair others with gray.

We have a Grinch and a Santa or two,

But what we see most is Jesus in you.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas,

And a Happy New Year

And always remember God is near.

So tie on your feed sack and have some roast beast,

And enjoy your time at your families feast.

We love and appreciate all that you are,

And hope that you know you are in our hearts.

We hope your stockings are hung,

And all your money is not spent.

And we hope you will remember,

Sharon, Whitney and Brent.

Much love and Blessings,

From The Lackey’s

My Church

New Life Ministries is my place to be

In a building filled with so much history

Many memories from years gone past

The kind of memories that will always last

If these walls could talk what would they say?

How many have been to this altar to pray?

How many tears have been shed in this place?

How many people have received God’s grace?

How many times have we had an alter call?

Oh, how we have prayed for the spirit to fall.

A church filled with love from that very first day

A place where I can always find someone to pray

My place of comfort, peace and joy

And Brent was saved here as a little boy

The very place where we said I do

And we are still going strong after year thirty- two

The place where I feel accepted and loved

And that makes me feel closer to God above.

Each and every person sitting on these pews

You are the ones that God will use

You make this church what it is today

You keeping it going because you fast and pray

God’s reward we will one day see

And a glorious mansion for you and me

You are the church that the Bible talks about

Not the building or the sign hanging out

This facility is wonderful and has its place

But the beauty of this church is in your face

Church Bells

Church bells ringing with no one there
The smell of raindrops from the sky
The clouds of life rolling by
The days are long and life is short
People are running to and fro
Without any thoughts of where they’ll go
Ships sailing thru the ports
Cars and trucks passing by
While the saints are praying inside
For the Lord to fill our spirits and hearts
Like the animals rushing
to enter the ark
To bring us to the house of God
Without the elders poke and prod
The church bells ringing
Please enter in
And return to your heavenly father again

Good Things

He fills my life with good things
In my time of sorrow
Peace and joy…He brings
He provides me with what I need
Not rich things or many things
Not everything I ask for
But good things…holy things!
Nothing else will ever satisfy
It is contentment only He can supply
Your heart was made for God alone
He will always make you feel….right at home
Only God can satisfy your soul
Nothing else, will ever….make you whole
When you are suffering from the devils’ sting
Call out to the one and only King
Who fills your life with everything

Mission Of Love

On a mission of love,
Sent by Him,
So that He will say,
Enter in.

To the heavenly gates above,
Engulfed by His everlasting love.

Gates of pearl and streets of gold,
Where no one will ever grow old.

No one can imagine the beauty there,
Not even a dream can compare.

No pain, no death or sorrow no more,
Oh what God has in store.

For you and me and all that seek,
Without salvation your life is bleak.

So turn your life to Him right now,
Before it’s too late to bow.

On your knees before His face,
So you can make Heaven your place.
