He is Risen

An Easter story that never grows old
Buried in a tomb in his grave clothes
He arose from the grave on that third day
So that all of our sins could be washed away
Today is not about a bunny or an egg
A basket of chocolate or an Easter dinner
It is all about saving the sinner
It is not about singing Peter cotton tail
It is all about saving us from hell
It is about our Savior who died for our sins
Only wanting us to allow him in
It is about our choice to ask him into our hearts
And make him the leader of our life
Not just to serve on Christmas and Easter
But choose him each day when we wake
And get his advice in all decisions we make
Without Jesus in our hearts
Our lives are empty just like that tomb
Without him being head of our life
We face adversity and strife
Without the whole armor of God
We need his shield and sword
To fight every battle of this world
Make today the day of change
And let him take your life and rearrange
If you searched yourself today
And Jesus looked into your heart
Will he say enter in or tell you to depart?

I am a princess, because I belong to "The King". I am a true introvert, but I love Jesus and he says to go into all the world and spread the gospel. I believe I can do that one rhyme at a time.
