Mission Of Love

On a mission of love,
Sent by Him,
So that He will say,
Enter in.

To the heavenly gates above,
Engulfed by His everlasting love.

Gates of pearl and streets of gold,
Where no one will ever grow old.

No one can imagine the beauty there,
Not even a dream can compare.

No pain, no death or sorrow no more,
Oh what God has in store.

For you and me and all that seek,
Without salvation your life is bleak.

So turn your life to Him right now,
Before it’s too late to bow.

On your knees before His face,
So you can make Heaven your place.

Heaven’s Gate

A beautiful rainbow touching the ground.
The signs of God’s promises all around.

You will never find that pot of gold,
But if you let the potter mold.

You will receive a precious crown,
Of the finest jewels around.

A mansion in heaven we will see,
Nothing more beautiful will ever be.

We will kneel at Jesus’ feet.
Singing praises that can’t be beat.

We will see our friends up there,
A heavenly party of no compare.

Now is not the time to wait,
I want to meet you at Heaven’s gate.

He is Risen

An Easter story that never grows old
Buried in a tomb in his grave clothes
He arose from the grave on that third day
So that all of our sins could be washed away
Today is not about a bunny or an egg
A basket of chocolate or an Easter dinner
It is all about saving the sinner
It is not about singing Peter cotton tail
It is all about saving us from hell
It is about our Savior who died for our sins
Only wanting us to allow him in
It is about our choice to ask him into our hearts
And make him the leader of our life
Not just to serve on Christmas and Easter
But choose him each day when we wake
And get his advice in all decisions we make
Without Jesus in our hearts
Our lives are empty just like that tomb
Without him being head of our life
We face adversary and strife
Without the whole armor of God
We need his shield and sword
To fight every battle of this world
Make today the day of change
And let him take your life and rearrange
If you searched yourself today
And Jesus looked into your heart
Will he say enter in or tell you to depart?

Safe Haven of Love

My church family is so full of love
Each one on assignment from heaven above
A beautiful building with so much history
But it is the people inside that matter to me
You make me feel welcome when I come thru the door
And you make me instantly begin to want more
It is a place to find refuge and peace
A place for advice, encouragement and conviction
And sometimes good food and fellowship in the kitchen
You love me in spite of myself most days
And you are always ready to give the Lord praise
A church full of people who I love
I want you all to be blessed from above
You are closer to me than my own family
I am so thankful that God gave you to me
God puts special people in our paths
If only we would recognize what we have
We are so blessed to be a part of this place
I want to be faithful whatever it takes
I want to endure until the end
So, that my savior will say “enter in”
I want you all to join me there
Nothing here will ever compare
But while I am still here I want to enjoy this life with you
And I want you to know your special too
To me this church is a safe haven of love
Guided and directed from God above

Favor

Everyone wants to find favor,
Some in parents,
Some in neighbors.

We want to be liked by our friends.
We want everyone to forget our sins.

We want the world to know who we are.
We want to shine brighter than a star.

We want to have all the wealth and fame.
We want to win every game.

Our purpose is not in the world’s things.
It is far bigger than what this life brings.
We are here to serve Christ the King.

We should want to please only him,
Not Jimmy, Tom and Uncle Jim.

The shiny things will not bring us joy.
Diamonds, pearls and every toy.

These things will never be enough;
Our life will continue to be tough.

We must seek first the kingdom of God,
To receive the peace within our hearts.

The joy of the Lord will never fail,
As long as to him we continue to travail.

He will always provide what we need,
When he is the only thing we seek.

Then we will find what we are looking for,
And we will find the favor of our Lord.
