I am a child of the most high king
I am a princess that’s what it means
I sometimes forget my worth
Down here on Earth
My life should be lived with grace
Showing love in every place
Never allowing Satan to drag me in
To the places I should never have been
Spreading the truth wherever I go
And letting everyone know
That you can be a princess too
All you have to do
Is ask Jesus in your heart
And cling to him so you will never depart
Be strong and steadfast in your faith
Keeping him the center of your life
Showing him your love and loyalty
And you will always be royalty

My family was the seed
That started me
On my way
To what I am today
My roots are strong
And they have grown long
My branches are getting smaller
As my tree grows taller
My branches separate further
And some have gone wrong
And some have withered away
And it seems we don’t have much in common
Oh but we do
Because of that seed
We are all part of the same tree

 

The sting of death that never stops
The choice you made to end your life
Left me with an ache that cuts like a knife
Making a decision to breathe no more
The toll it took on those left behind
My mind will never understand why
My eyes are hollow from the tears I cry
The heartache and pain never leave
For every day I grieve
For what could have been
A life that left to soon
Has left a constant open wound
A hurt that goes straight to the bone
That choice you made to leave me alone

The Pastor’s wife is full of life
Even when she is down
She is filled with love
she is a gift from above
She has to endure
Even when she is not sure
Of the path they take
She follows the lead of her husband with love
Because she knows he is led from above
Calls come night and day
So he must say
He has to go
Even though she hopes he’ll stay
But she knows in her heart
That she was called never to depart
From God’s will for her spouse
Sometimes she gets jealous
And then she gets mad
Because she has to share her man
With so many others
She has to listen and grin
To people filled with sin
When she would rather shout
And get it out
She is often overlooked
And sometimes mistook
She is honest and open
And very outspoken
She works behind the Shepard to help teach the word
Sometimes she just wants her voice to be heard
She helps tend the sheep
Her duties are many
She rarely has plenty
She runs the house
While he is out
She plays her role
And stays under control
While living the life
Of a Pastors wife
