Life is full of twists and turns
It don’t always take you where you yearn
Tosses your heart to and fro
Sometimes wondering where next you’ll go
Waiting for the next mountain to climb
Not wanting life to leave you behind
Hoping you don’t fall over that cliff
Or spend too much time on a dream and drift
Sometimes you wonder if you will survive
All the heartaches, pain and lies
Staying in the valley is not a choice
When you get to the top you will rejoice.
